Help really appreciated getting my Bose companion 5 working with linuxmint (my distro of choice). It is the usb connected one to the pc. It does work on another distro test mode ok but I’m loathe to leave Linux mint, my favourite. It had no problems with the companion 3 mark 2 but that was aux in etc to sound card.
